Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited Appoints Dr. Harit Kumar Chaturvedi as CEO of Oncology Network, Strengthens Team with 25 Experts
Pune | April 2026 — Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited (AHEL) has strengthened its oncology leadership by appointing Dr. Harit Kumar Chaturvedi as the Chief Executive Officer and Clinical Head of the Apollo Oncology Network. Alongside him, a team of over 25 oncology experts has also joined, marking a significant step in enhancing cancer care services across India.
Dr. Chaturvedi brings nearly four decades of experience in surgical oncology and returns to Apollo with deep clinical expertise and leadership. He has extensive experience in handling complex cancer cases across multiple specialisations including head and neck, breast, thoracic, gastrointestinal, and gynaecologic cancers, along with expertise in robotic and minimally invasive procedures.
Academically, he holds M.B.B.S., M.S. in General Surgery, and M.Ch. in Surgical Oncology. Over the years, he has played a pivotal role in building advanced cancer care systems in North India, introducing organ-specific treatment units, multidisciplinary tumour boards, and contributing to national research collaborations in oncology.
Preetha Reddy, Executive Vice Chairperson of Apollo Hospitals, stated that Dr. Chaturvedi’s return is a major boost to the organisation’s vision of delivering accessible, precise, and high-quality cancer care across the country. She emphasised that his leadership will help expand Apollo’s reach and strengthen its clinical excellence.
